CoffeeHead is a local-first coffee journal. We design the app so your coffee entries, photos, taste notes, and preferences stay under your control.

Information We Process

CoffeeHead may process the coffee records you create, including coffee photos, drink style, temperature, tasting tags, preference, location, bean information, brewing details, notes, and related metadata.

On-device Storage

Your coffee journal content is stored locally on your device. You can delete records in the app, and deleting the app removes local app data from that device unless it has been backed up by your device or iCloud settings.

Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, CoffeeHead may store your records and related images in your private iCloud account using Apple services. We do not operate a separate CoffeeHead account database for this content. Apple may process this data according to your Apple account and iCloud settings.

AI Recognition

When you use AI recognition, CoffeeHead sends the selected coffee image and capture mode to the CoffeeHead backend operated by HaChill Tech. The backend may send the image to configured AI model providers, currently including Alibaba Cloud DashScope, to generate draft record fields. The result may include suggested style, temperature, taste tags, preference, notes, bean log, brewing details, and location hints when visible.

AI suggestions are used only to help create your coffee record. Please review and edit them before saving. Avoid submitting images that contain sensitive personal information.

Purchases

CoffeeHead V1 is launching free-first and does not currently sell a paid subscription in the app. If paid features become available later, they will be processed through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide transaction status information needed to unlock or restore premium features.

Permissions

CoffeeHead may request camera access to capture coffee and bean card photos. It may request photo library access so you can select images or save app-related photos. Images remain on your device unless you choose to use AI recognition, iCloud sync, sharing, or another export feature.

Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

CoffeeHead does not sell your personal information. We do not use your coffee journal content for third-party advertising or behavioral profiling.

Service Providers

We may use service providers such as Apple, Vercel, and AI workflow or model providers to operate the app, website, purchases, sync, hosting, or AI recognition. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us or to you.

Website Logs and Cookies

The CoffeeHead website may be hosted by Vercel or similar providers, which can process basic request information such as IP address, device information, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security, diagnostics, and hosting operations. CoffeeHead does not use website cookies for advertising.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. The in-app Delete Account action removes local CoffeeHead records, sealed jars, profile data, profile photo, cached Apple sign-in session, and CoffeeHead ID from the device. If you are signed in and iCloud is available, CoffeeHead also attempts to delete synced CoffeeHead records from your private iCloud database and release your public CoffeeHead ID. Your Apple ID itself is not deleted, and iCloud backups or Apple account settings may retain copies outside CoffeeHead's direct control. AI recognition requests and service logs may be retained by service providers for limited operational, abuse prevention, or legal purposes according to their policies.

Children's Privacy

CoffeeHead is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
